Immoral/Amoral
Tomato/Tomahto?
There is a difference and it’s a big one.
Trump is both, of course, something he’s demonstrated since he was sent away at age 13 to that faux military academy in an attempt to “curb his disobedient behavior.”
It didn’t take.
Just to make the distinction crystal clear, amoral is having no moral sense whatsoever. It’s being indifferent to right or wrong. Immoral is knowingly violating moral principles, e.g. stealing from a charity, something this hollow clown has done to eight different charitable organizations. (There was zero doubt of his guilt and was forced to pay a $2 million ‘partial restitution’).
His cult has no problem with any of this, of course. Apparently he stole from the Children’s Aid Society, the Army Emergency Relief Fund, the United Way, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, and several others with God’s blessing.
The profound moral decay he’s exhibiting now is, finally, being recognized by many GOPers. The in-fighting comes as no surprise and it will continue, but more Moderates will emerge from the rubble.
The focus now must be on SCOTUS. Several have already displayed their allegiance to immorality as well as some extraordinary hypocrisies.
The question remains whether they will sink into the cesspool of Trump’s amorality.
It’s not a tomato/tomahto, either/or kind of thing.
